Members of the Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club held a Phillies rally on Friday, March 30 in celebration of Paint the Town Red Week and the upcoming baseball season. Kids wore “GO SHANE!” T-shirts and festivities included games such as “Pin the Player on the Field” and uniform relays. The Red Phanatic – along with the Phillies ballgirls – made a surprise visit. Scott Palmer, Phillies director of public affairs, served as the rally’s emcee.
The Shane Victorino Foundation donated nearly $1 million for the renovation of the 105-year-old Nicetown Boys & Girls Club, which reopened for operations in January this year.
