July 8, 2011 – Several of the Phillies’ biggest stars are teaming up with some of the region’s largest financial services institutions to raise money for the players’ charitable foundations and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

The first annual Philly Financial Day creates sort of an All Star-Team where local investment firm competitors Janney Montgomery Scott and Boenning & Scattergood join forces to reach out to clients and ask them to generate revenue in the form of trading business on Friday. Those firms then donate a significant percentage to the Philly Financial Day group of charities.
