Join Maui’s own World Series Champion and Boston Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino and his wife, Melissa, as we celebrate the 7th annual Shane Victorino Celebrity Dinner & Golf Classic on November 22, 2014, with stars from the worlds of sports and entertainment.
It all begins at the stunning Wailea Golf Club Gold Course, with 18 championship-caliber holes overlooking the beautiful Pacific ocean. Celebrity team captains will tee it up with corporate executives and community leaders for a shotgun start tournament. Lunch and beverages will be provided throughout the day and each golfer will receive a gift bag filled with fantastic items. After the round, enjoy a traditional Hawaiian feast, silent and live auctions filled with exciting getaways, sports memorabilia and other one-of-a-kind items, and golfer awards ceremony at the fabulous Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort.
Past celebrity participants include Josh Beckett (Los Angeles Dodgers), Clay Buchholz (Boston Red Sox), Mike Carp (Boston Red Sox), Kevin Correia (Minnesota Twins), Jacoby Ellsbury (New York Yankees), Neil Everett (ESPN), Ben Francisco (San Diego Padres organization), Steve Garvey (Retired Dodgers Star), Ryan Howard (Philadelphia Phillies), Adam Jones (Baltimore Orioles), Kila Ka’aihue (Hiroshima Carp), Kanoa Leahey (KHON2), Brandon League (Los Angeles Dodgers), Andrew McCutchen (Pittsburgh Pirates), Albert Pujols (LA Angels of Anaheim), Rob Riggle (actor/comedian), Mark Rolfing (NBC Golf Analyst), Jimmy Rollins (Philadelphia Phillies), Cody Ross (Arizona Diamondbacks), Kelly Slater (Professional Surfer), Kanekoa Texeira (Atlanta Braves organization), Jason Vargas (Kansas City Royals), and many more.
Proceeds from the event will benefit local programs and initiatives targeting underserved youth in Hawaii, including the construction of a batting cage on Maui and the 3rd annual Shane Victorino Foundation Youth Baseball Clinic (a free, half-day event for underserved youth).
