FOODLAND AND HAWAII’S OWN SHANE VICTORINO TEAM UP TO OFFER NEW “FLYIN’ HAWAIIAN” POKE AT FOODLAND
Customers invited to vote for new “Flyin’ Hawaiian” poke variety through Nov. 15. New poke offered beginning Nov. 18.
November 9, 2011 – Foodland Super Market, Ltd., Hawaii’s largest locally owned grocery retailer, and Shane Victorino, MLB All-Star and Philadelphia Phillies center fielder, a.k.a. “The Flyin’ Hawaiian,” today announced a partnership to offer a new “Flyin’ Hawaiian” poke at Foodland. Beginning today through Nov. 15, customers are invited to vote via facebook (facebook.com/foodlandhawaii) to select which of four new poke varieties they think will make the best “Flyin’ Hawaiian” poke. Customers can sample the varieties before voting at select Foodland and Sack N Save stores statewide (*see store list and varieties below). The winning poke will then be offered at all Foodland and Sack N Save stores beginning Nov. 18. Foodland will donate $0.25 for every pound of “Flyin’ Hawaiian” poke sold to the Shane Victorino Foundation.
